Acknowledgement and acceptance of this agreement
By paying a deposit and/or making a booking with JLK Makeup Artistry, the client agrees to and understands all terms and conditions within this page.
Deposits & Cancellations
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. In the event that you require a new appointment, a new deposit will be required to secure your date. If the ARTIST needs to cancel an appointment due to unforeseen emergencies, illness, natural disaster or road blockages, notice will be provided as soon as possible and the client will have their full amounts paid, refunded to their nominated details, within 10 days of cancellation.
Every effort will be made to attend your appointment safely but in the event that is not possible, I will always try and source an alternative artist for you.
Changes to your Booking
Reduction in booked services will not result in a reduction in pricing after the initial quote has been accepted and deposit has been paid. Any additional services, location changes or timing changes will be accommodated where possible, however additional fees may apply.
Social Media and Advertising
Jess may take photos or videos to use for her portfolio, social media, website or promotions. Please get in touch if you do not wish for this. If you have any professional photos you would like to share after your event I always love to see them!
Travel Fee & Parking
If you require mobile services a travel fee may be included within your initial quote. Parking must be provided on site at the getting ready location as Jess will have over 25kg of equipment to carry. Any parking related fees are to be paid for by the client.
Health and Safety & Refusal of Service
To ensure the safety of Jess, her team and clients, JLK Makeup Artistry reserves the right to refuse service on any clients displaying signs of headlice or contagious viral or bacterial symptoms including and not limited to, vomiting, diarrhoea, rash, conjunctivitis, cold sores.
Allergies and Sensitivities
Any allergies, sensitivities or special needs must be disclosed prior to the service date. While every effort will be made to accommodate allergies, sensitivities or special needs, in no event shall JLK Makeup Artistry have any liability for incidental, or consequential damages however characterised, for example eczema, rashes, sensitive skin and eyes etc.
Children in attendance
Children in attendance of the booking are to be supervised by responsible adult at all times. Children are not to be in the service area at any time unless they are having a service and are being supervised by a responsible adult.
This is for their own safety; Jess uses very hot styling tools, operates electrical equipment and has expensive and very heavy equipment that can tip or cause damage if not used correctly. Jess is not responsible for watching children and accepts no liability from any claims arising from any children’s injury while in the service area.
Other
In the rare event that Jess is unable to attend the appointment to provide her services on the scheduled booking date, Jess will make every attempt to find an artist of similar calibre to complete the booking. In this situation only will the booking be refunded or transferred to the new artist. However, the limit of liability is a full refund of all moneys already paid for services on the affected date only.
